We know East Africa. We make it easier to explore.
Thoughtfully planned journeys through Uganda and Rwanda, combining local knowledge, personal service, useful technology and a responsible approach to travel.
Our Story
Maarjv Safaris was created around a simple idea, travelling through East Africa should be exciting, planning it should not feel unnecessarily complicated. Uganda and Rwanda offer extraordinary variety within a relatively small part of the continent, mountain gorillas in forested highlands, chimpanzees, open savannah, lakes, rivers, wildlife, culture and communities with their own stories to share. Yet turning that possibility into the right trip can involve many decisions, where to go, how long to stay, which permits are needed, where to sleep, how to move between destinations and how to make the most of a traveller’s time and budget. Maarjv Safaris exists to make that process clearer. We combine local destination knowledge with personal travel planning and thoughtful use of technology, helping travellers move from an idea to a journey that makes sense for them.
We currently specialise in Uganda and Rwanda. That focus allows us to build trips around the places we know, from gorilla trekking in Bwindi and Volcanoes National Park to chimpanzee tracking, classic wildlife safaris, cultural experiences and cross-border journeys. We are building Maarjv with a long term view, make travel simpler for the guest, keep people at the centre of the experience, and grow in a way that respects the wildlife, communities and environments that make travel here possible.
Travel, Made Simpler
We believe technology should make travel easier, not make it feel less human. Maarjv Safaris is built with that principle in mind. We use technology where it can remove friction, helping travellers explore options, compare ideas, customise an itinerary, communicate with our team, prepare for a trip and manage the practical details around their journey. But not every travel decision should be left to a screen. Gorilla permits, route choices, seasonal conditions, accommodation and the small details that affect a safari often benefit from a person who understands the destination. Our approach brings the two together, useful technology for convenience, and real people when knowledge, judgement and support matter. As Maarjv grows, we want that combination to make planning East African travel increasingly straightforward without losing the personal service that good travel depends on.
Travel With Purpose
The places people travel to see are also places people and wildlife depend on. We believe tourism works best when it respects both. For Maarjv Safaris, responsible travel is not a claim that every journey has no impact. It is an operating principle, respect wildlife and protected areas, support responsible wildlife viewing, approach cultural experiences with dignity, work with local tourism businesses and communities where appropriate, and make practical choices that reduce unnecessary impact. Park fees and tourism can also contribute to the systems that protect wildlife and natural areas. We want travellers to understand that connection and to experience Uganda and Rwanda in a way that values the destinations rather than simply passing through them.
Why Travel With Maarjv Safaris?
Local knowledge
We currently focus on Uganda and Rwanda, allowing our planning to be grounded in the destinations, routes and experiences we sell.
Your trip, not ours
We start with your priorities and shape the itinerary around your time, interests, travel style and budget.
Planning made clearer
We bring permits, accommodation, transport and activities into one practical journey rather than leaving you to piece everything together.
Technology with a purpose
We use technology to reduce friction and improve convenience while keeping human travel expertise within reach.
Honest expectations
We do not need to guarantee the unpredictable. We explain what to expect, where flexibility matters and what choices make sense.
Responsible by design
We plan travel with respect for wildlife, communities, culture and the environments our journeys depend on.
