Overview
Experience three of western Uganda’s best known wildlife destinations on this 6 day safari combining chimpanzee tracking, savannah game viewing, a Kazinga Channel boat safari and mountain gorilla trekking.
Begin in Kibale National Park, where you will enter the tropical forest with ranger guides in search of habituated chimpanzees. Continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a morning game drive and an afternoon boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, with opportunities to see elephants, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife.
Travel south through the Ishasha sector, where your guide will search for the area’s tree climbing lions, before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
The journey culminates with a guided trek through Bwindi in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. With primates, game drives, a boat safari and varied landscapes, this itinerary offers a well rounded introduction to western Uganda’s wildlife.
