Overview
Experience Rwanda and Uganda on a 7 day journey combining three primate encounters with some of Uganda’s best known savannah wildlife experiences.
Begin in Kigali and travel to Volcanoes National Park for golden monkey tracking before crossing into Uganda and continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The following morning is dedicated to mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi’s forested highlands.
From Bwindi, continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park for game drives, including time in the Ishasha sector in search of its well known tree climbing lions. An afternoon boat safari on the Kazinga Channel provides a different perspective on the park’s wildlife and birdlife.
Continue to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking before travelling to Lake Mburo National Park. Finish the safari with a horseback wildlife experience before transferring to Entebbe.
This itinerary is well suited to travellers who want gorillas to remain the headline experience while also seeing more of Uganda’s primates, wildlife and landscapes.
